Lip Augmentation

Lips, which contribute effectively to the aesthetic beauty of the face, have become an important focal point/centre of facial aesthetics today with their curves and sexual appearance. The upper lip lines are also called "the Cupid's bow" (named after the Eros arrows and bow) and the arched line of the upper lips has become the object of study for numerous cosmetic surgeons. With their width, thickness and position, the lips occupy an important place in relation to the perception of beauty and to the overall image of beauty. Age-related, hereditary and other loss of the red colour of the lips, stretching and sagging or flattening of the lip folds due to loss of height can be eliminated with the help of aesthetic surgery, thus ensuring the attractiveness of the lips.

Methods used in lip aesthetics:

The use of lip fillers,
The hanging lips,
The intraoral incisions,

Aesthetic procedures with incisions outside the lip

Dermis strips: Strips of tissue called dermis, located under the skin layer in various parts of the body, are removed and inserted into the lip. This method is used to add volume to the lip folds and give them a more attractive appearance. The lips also appear more natural and attractive in the post-operative phase when swelling has decreased. Fatty tissue: It is the injection of concentrated fatty tissue along with fat cells into the lip using a fine needle. A great advantage of this method is that no incisions are necessary. Tissue cocktail: In this method, the dermis and membranes removed from the lower skin parties are injected into the lip area with the help of a tissue needle. The so-called tissue cocktail provides more effective results than applications with dermis strips.
Aesthetic procedures with incision on the lip

Incisions within the lips

The mucous membrane and lip covering are separated by incisions within the lip and the inner length of the lip is shortened. In this application, where the lip is inverted, the musculature is also interfered for the purpose of gathering and the lip volume is increased. This application is also used for shortening the wide lips and no marks are seen.

Interventions outside the lips

The red part of the lip is pushed out through an incision at the edge of the lip. The lip contour is enlarged. A more curved lip/ A lip with prominent curves/ lines/ contours can be ensured with procedures under lip oil called Eros oil. Although this is rare, the patient should be informed that scars may remain in the incision areas. However, these scars can be concealed with cosmetic products.

Lip thinning

This procedure is used to remove an elliptical mucous tissue from the lip. It is mainly used for patients with very thick lips.

Narrowing the width of the lips

EIt is an aesthetic operation used especially in patients with congenital defect of the lip structure and in people with wide mouth. This process is an application with the help of narrowing and stitches at the edge of the lip. However, the possibility that further scarring may result from the surgical application should be communicated with the patient in any case.

Correction of lip wrinkles

Lip wrinkles, which appear when the tissue under the lip skin melts, can develop due to the trauma caused by constantly repeated mimic movements and they can turn into grooves by deepening. Very good results can be achieved by replacing the melted tissues and with the help of laser peeling on the skin surface.
